Confidence & Wellness: Becoming A Happier Person

It’s no secret that when it comes to ourselves, a lot of us lack happiness and confidence. The problem is, we’re not always happy with who we are, which in turn, affects our self-esteem. This then has an impact on our overall wellness, causing stress and resentment. Did you know that over half of all women resent themselves in some way? That’s a sad statistic and one that needs to change.

The reasons that as women, we don’t feel confident, range from the fact we weigh a little too much to the fact that we hate a habit we have, such as smoking. Confidence is a funny old thing, which until you don’t have, you rarely think about. Then when you don’t have it, all you think about is how you can achieve it.

The answer, in a lot of cases, is taking time to improve your general wellness. The definition of wellness is a self-directed, and evolving process of achieving your potential. In one sense, it is about improving your physical health to improve your mental health.

To help you do that, I wanted to share a few tips for boosting your confidence and becoming a happier (and healthier) person.

What is the root cause of the problem?

The first thing that you need to focus on is finding out what the cause of the problem is. Take some time to think about yourself and your life and try to work out what’s making your lack confidence and feel blue. Is it the fact that you’re not content with your career? Do you dream of being a slimmer and more toned version of yourself? Do you have a nasty habit, like smoking, that’s knocking your self-confidence? To be able to fix things and improve your general wellness, you need to find the cause of your problems.

Stand in front of the mirror and ask yourself what you would change about yourself and your life if you could. If the fact that you want to be slimmer instantly pops to mind, that is the place to start. If your career is the first thing to enter your mind, then that’s what the problem is. Maybe you feel like you’re underachieving while everyone else around you is excelling when it comes to their careers? Is there a friend you aspire to be like? If so, ask yourself what it is about her life that you want. It could be something as simple as having a stable partner, quitting smoking, or eating cleaner. The problem doesn’t have to be anything big.

Edit your life

Now that you’ve worked out what’s causing you to lack confidence and feel unhappy, the next step is to change things. This isn’t always easy, but it’s something that if you want to lead a fulfilling life, it’s worth doing. To improve your general wellness and become a happier person, you need to make changes. If you don’t, you will always feel how you do now.

Focus on the root cause of your confidence issues, such as bad skin, and work out how you can alleviate them. Perhaps by eating healthier, drinking more water and quitting smoking you could improve the health of your skin? Start off by choosing a diet plan that is packed full of fruit and vegetables and works for you. Invest in a water filter bottle like the ones from Brita or a fruit infuser to make water a little more enjoyable to drink. If quitting smoking cold turkey is too difficult, swap to vaping. It won’t upset your skin, and you’ll have a better chance of successfully quitting cigarettes for good. Treat yourself to a vaporizer and a Wulf Mods Hell Hound mechanical box mod to go with it. Oh, and don’t forget to pick out some flavoured e-liquids that you like – there are some lovely fruity ones to choose from. It might be hard, but if you want healthier skin, these changes are crucial.

Take time out for you

One of the leading causes of a lack of confidence is stress. This is because stress makes us question our self-worth. A great way to help alleviate stress is by making wellness a priority, to do that, you need to take some time out for yourself. By making time to relax and unwind, your whole mindset will change. It can be hard to make time for yourself, but it’s important that you do.

How you spend your time out is up to you. You can choose to relax at home with a good book, spend a day shopping, or simply head out for a few drinks. However, one of the best ways to relax is by pampering yourself. Pampering plays a big part in wellness. Whether you opt to go for a massage, have stress-relieving acupuncture, head out for a refreshing facial, or got to a Hyperwellness Center, it’s up to you. What’s important is that you find a way to relax and unwind, relieving the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Understand that we are all different

Last but not least, it’s crucial to understand that we are all different. If you spend your life wishing to be someone else, you will never be happy or confident. You can make changes to your life to make you more like the person you admire, but you will never be them.

We are all unique, which is what makes the world such as amazing place. Don’t get caught up in wanting to be exactly like someone else, believe it or not, it’s not the answer to being a more confident person. To be happier and more confident, you need to learn to accept yourself for who you are. Making changes like losing weight and quitting smoking are good. But you will always be the same person, and it’s important to understand that.

To become a happier and more confident person, wellness is the answer. Take care of yourself, make changes, and become the person that you want to be. Just make sure to remember that no matter what you do, you will always be you.
