How to Improve your Appearance in 2017

As we get closer to the end of the year, many of us are already thinking about our New Year’s resolutions. If you’re like many people, you may be considering how you can improve your appearance next year, so that you can be more attractive, more confident, and have better self-esteem when you look in the mirror.

That’s not to say that we shouldn’t focus on what’s going on inside as well, but if you’re hoping to be a little better looking next year, here are some ways you can improve your appearance in 2017:

Whiten your teeth

A nice smile is one of the best ways for you to improve your appearance, and white teeth immediately shows up in photos and is easily noticed when you’re speaking with new people. I noticed some discolouration on my teeth (mostly from too much red wine and coffee) so I decided to use the Love My Teeth whitening kits. I’ve been surprised at how quickly this has made a difference to my appearance, and they quickly became whiter with just a few uses. If you’ve noticed that your teeth are looking stained or discoloured, consider whitening them so you can benefit from a nicer smile.

Get in Shape

As we near the end of the year and go to multiple holiday parties, drinking too much booze and eating too much food, it’s easy to feel lethargic. You may also have noticed that your weight has been creeping up throughout the year as you spend too much time sedentary and not enough time moving, and eat poorly when you’re just looking for something on the go.

One of the best ways to get into shape is to focus on meal prep. That means going grocery shopping on Saturday or Sunday and taking an afternoon to make a whole bunch of meals that you can use throughout the week. These meals don’t need to be super hard to make, but if you do enough meal prep, you’ll find that you can easily take lunch to work every day and have some food on hand for dinner when you arrive home.

When you don’t have any food prepared and it has been a long day, often you won’t feel like cooking so it can be easy to grab a takeout menu. This is why meal prep is so important and it will allow you to eat well throughout the week.

Exercise is also important, and you should focus on strength training or HIT, so you can tone your body while also eating well. Before you know it you’ll be shedding pounds and feeling great.

Check your clothes

It can be easy to walk around in clothes that are ill-fitting or just old. If you need to update your wardrobe, steer clear of trendy, fashionable pieces, and choose classics like a little black dress, nice black heels, a good coat, tailored jeans, and some good shirts. Then you can easily accessorise and mix and match so you look well put together without spending a fortune every year.
