Can you guys believe it’s Friday already? I swear, the weeks are just flying by at the moment!
If you’ve got nothing planned for this weekend, you may be feeling a little down. So I thought I would share some of my best tips for things to do in the weekend that will help keep you entertained and make life easier for you through the week.
First, did you know you can play free online pokies? I didn’t either! I always thought those kinds of sites involved opening my wallet numerous times but it turns out you can play for free. This is a great option because you can play whenever you’re feeling a little bored, and if you’re lucky you could even win some money.
If you often find yourself short of time during the week, there are a few things you can do to improve that this weekend. The first is to do some meal prep. You’ve probably seen those Instagram photos with lots of identical containers full of food, but it’s easier than you think.
Go shopping on Saturday, and grab your meat (or another protein source), vegetables, and snacks. This is also a great way to save some time through the week as you’ll have your meals ready to go so can simply grab lunch as you’re running out the door to work, and throw dinner in the microwave once you get home.
You want each meal to be balanced with carbs, protein, and fat which will keep you full. Once you’ve had a week where you’ve enjoyed your meal prep, you’ll probably notice that you feel healthy and are less likely to reach for fast food.
Another thing I like to do when I have some time in the weekends is check if I’ve missed any good movies or TV shows. I hardly ever watch TV and I can’t remember the last time I went to the movies, so this means there is always something available to watch.
This is a great way to chill out, and I love to lie on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watch the movies I’ve missed throughout the year. It’s also a good idea to send a message to a few friends and check if anyone is around for some movie watching.
I don’t know about you, but since I work at home it will sometimes be days before I leave the house. This means that it’s very easy for me to turn into a weird, socially-awkward hermit. If I have a weekend free, sometimes I like to make myself go for a walk through the city. Find a park you like, do some window shopping, or go be a tourist and check out that museum you haven’t been to. You’ll never regret getting out and exploring your city, and it’s a great way to refresh yourself before you have to go back to work.
